Online festive shopping remains untouched by recession
$ 30.8 billion is the actual amount which Americans spent for online shopping during this festive season. This is a 17% year-on-year rise in online shopping as compared to the festive season last year, says a CNN report.
The largest shopping volumes and increases in sales were visible in computer hardware (23% higher), book and magazines (22% higher), consumer electronics (21% higher) and software (20% higher). As is visible, shopping of modern electronic gadgets remained at the no.1 spot in list of items purchased.
Surely, these shopping figures beat the willies out of the fear that recession would affect festive online retail sales; and is an optimistic beginning for the new year 2011.
